Week 1: May 27-29 Chapters 1-3

• Ask family members what they did during their summer break when they were kids.
• Make a list of things you will do this summer. If you do them write about it in your journal.
• Humphrey and Og didn’t know where they were going and Humphrey used the noises to try to figure it out. See if family member will take you on a mystery trip. Try to figure out where you are by using your senses. No peeking. Write about your adventure.

• Make a list of pros and cons of Og and Humphrey living in the wild.
• What kind of performances has your family been in? What were they and what was it like?

Summer According to Humphrey

Dear Students at Glen Rose Intermediate,

I had so much fun reading, The World According to Humphrey with you I don’t want the FUN FUN FUN to end this summer. I asked Mrs. Mapes to get this book so we could keep up our adventures. Get a reading journal and make notes so you will remember everything and you can share on the blog or when school starts. I HOPE HOPE HOPE you will log onto my blog and write about your reading this summer.
